The Country Music Association doubled down on its commitment to traditional-leaning, and blazingly popular, country music in its nominees list for the 2024 CMA Awards. Among the standout artists is Morgan Wallen, who has garnered an impressive seven nominations heading into Country Music's Biggest Night. Interestingly, none of these nominations are for solo songs, highlighting the collaborative spirit in the industry.

Most of Wallen's nominations stem from his crossover hit "I Had Some Help," a collaboration with Post Malone featured on the project F-1 Trillion. This collaboration not only bridges genres but also showcases how country music is evolving while still honoring its roots.

Post Malone, a first-time CMA nominee, also made a significant impact with four nominations during his debut at the awards. His project F-1 Trillion features collaborations with prominent names in country music, making a strong statement in this year's nominations. Cody Johnson, despite receiving five nominations, surprisingly does not appear in the Entertainer of the Year lineup. Johnson is one of this year’s most-nominated acts, even competing in multiple categories with two separate songs.
