Trace Adkins' Beautiful Rural Retreat: A Journey Through Transformation

Not every celebrity home tells a story of resilience and creativity like that of Trace Adkins. This isn’t the Brentwood, Tenn. home that burned down in June 2011. It’s Trace Adkins’ rural retreat, a place he and his wife Rhonda spent years searching for and building before he opened it up to HGTV. As you can see from the pictures below, the interior is beautiful. Rhonda worked to blend style and nature so the singer would appreciate this place as somewhere to getaway and be creative.

The property is an old dairy farm that people were using for a trash dump. When the Adkins family first found it—after a three-year search—it was far from the idyllic cabin you see today. Over the course of a decade, the couple perfected the interior and adjoining property, including a barbecue pavilion with a full kitchen and entertainment center. Of course, the country star loves it. "I may just haunt the place, stay forever," he says of what will happen when he dies.
