Old Dominion And Kenny Chesney: A Collaboration That Rocks

Old Dominion are Kenny Chesney are frequent touring partners and now musical collaborators with their tune "Beer With My Friends." This partnership has given Old Dominion a unique insight into Chesney's approach to music and performance. Their experiences on the road have taught them valuable lessons about the music industry and how to engage with fans effectively.

As they reflected on their time working with Chesney during a recent interview, they highlighted his exceptional ability to select opening acts. "He picks good openers," they jokingly told host Evan Paul. Matthew Ramsey, one of the band's members, added, "He's a master at setting the tone for his fans, bands, opening acts, and crew. You can really learn a lot from being on tour with him." This insight showcases how collaboration in the music industry can lead to personal and professional growth.

Old Dominion first hit the road with Chesney in 2014 during his Big Revival Tour. Since then, they've opened for him on several tours, including the Spread the Love Tour in 2016, the Trip Around the Sun Tour in 2018, and the Here and Now Tour in 2022. They had planned to join him for the Chillaxification Tour in 2020, but the pandemic forced a postponement. Despite these challenges, the band is excited to kick off their own 2023 No Bad Vibes Tour, inspired by their time with Chesney, starting on January 19.

The No Bad Vibes Tour will see Old Dominion visiting various cities across the U.S. and Canada until June 30. As they embark on this new journey, they're also busy releasing fresh music. Their latest single, "Memory Lane," was released on January 5, followed by three more tracks on January 9, showing that the band is not only growing through their experiences but also evolving musically.
