The series finale of Gossip Girl wrapped up numerous storylines with a mix of love, drama, and surprise twists. Fans were left buzzing as they witnessed the culmination of years of complex relationships and unexpected reveals. The final episode not only tied up loose ends but also gave the characters the fates they deserved, leaving viewers both satisfied and reflective.

One of the most talked-about moments was the rushed wedding of Chuck and Blair. Their relationship, characterized by impulsiveness and passion, culminated in a wedding that embodied their tumultuous love story. As fans watched this iconic couple finally say "I do," it was a reminder of how far they had come and the challenges they had overcome together over the years.

Another major twist was the revelation that Dan was the infamous Gossip Girl all along! This shocking admission recontextualized the entire series, highlighting the lengths he went to in order to fit into the elite world of Manhattan. The final moments of the series not only provided closure for Dan and Serena's love story but also sparked conversations about identity and the influence of social media on relationships.

Chuck & Blair Finally Got Married

While it would have been nice to see Chuck and Blair (Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester) exchange vows in an elaborate wedding, deserving of Upper East Side royalty, I actually think their rushed nuptials were more fitting. I mean, hasn’t their entire relationship been entirely based on impulsive decisions over the years? And only Chuck and Blair could manage to look so damn good under so much pressure. (Plus, how epic was their son, Henry?)

Call me a bastard, but I also liked that Bart ended up dead. Like, actually dead. Seriously this time. The series has always been about dramatic turns, and Bart's demise added a fitting twist to the finale.

Dan — I Mean, Gossip Girl — Married Serena

We were all surprised to learn that Dan has actually been Gossip Girl all these years, but when he explained that it was all part of his plan to integrate himself into Manhattan’s elite and win the heart of Serena (Blake Lively), it kind of made sense. And in a twisted, CW kind of way, it was actually romantic. Getting to see Dan (Penn Badgley) and Serena tie the knot at the end of the episode was really just the icing on the cake.

Nate Found His Purpose

For someone who was once involved in the show’s two biggest love triangles, Nate (Chace Crawford) has basically been demoted to a beautiful piece of furniture in recent years. He may not have ended up with anyone at series’ end — that we know of, anyway — but at least he got a happy ending of his own, running The Spectator. And maybe running for mayor! (Side note: He would make the worst, sexiest mayor ever.)

Everybody Else

Even as a casual viewer of Gossip Girl, I loved seeing what the supporting characters are up to now, even if we only got a quick glimpse of them. Jenny (Taylor Momsen) and Eric (Connor Paolo) were a sight for sore eyes, while Juliette (Katie Cassidy) and Olivia (Hilary Duff) also gave me the giggles. Of course, nothing was more epic than the super-meta cameos from Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson, reading Dan’s script as Serena and Blair.
